Becoming a financial member of Kids in Care ACT is a meaningful way to show your support for children in crisis and help shape the future of our charity. Members play a vital role in strengthening our community connections and ensuring we can continue to provide essentials and comfort to local children.

Each new application must be supported by a current member — we’re happy to help connect you!

Have a voice – attend General Meetings to learn about and influence the charity’s direction
Voting rights – help shape Kids in Care ACT by voting in Board elections and on any proposed changes at the AGM or special meetings
Invitation to key events – including the annual Toy Handover with ACT Children, Youth and Families, and the Annual General Meeting (July/August)
Be eligible to lead – nominate for a Board Director position (EOIs typically open around April), a Working with Vulnerable People registration will also be required.
Stay connected – receive quarterly updates through our member newsletter with news, projects and volunteer opportunities
Get early access – hear about and register for volunteering opportunities such as fundraisers, wrapping stations and community events
Keep us strong – your annual fee helps cover essential overheads like insurance, registrations, subscriptions, venue hire and website costs, so donations can stay focused on helping children
